Late afternoon skiing in Parc National du Bic

We weren't going to ski today, but about 3 PM, the sun came out, the wind died down, and off we went to Parc National du Bic for some late afternoon cross-country skiing. As it turned out, there was  free admission to all National Parks in Quebec Province today so our local national park was unusually busy, at least for winter. Lots of families with little kids, snow sleds, snowshoers, walkers, and cross-country skiers. With a daytime high of only 4 F, people were bundled up, including us. The snow was great, including 5-6 inches of fresh snow from last night. Some areas had a thin icy surface, which ones skis readily pushed through but mostly it was dry fluffy snow making for good cross-country skiing. We parked at the far parking lot and skied to Baie du Ha! Ha!
