Waking up to 5-6 inches of fresh snow on a January day in Quebec Province

Today, 24 January, we woke up to a beautiful morning with 5-6 inches of fresh snow.  I could not resist taking photos of our local landscape on a grey morning with soft light. After a hot breakfast, we took the short drive to Parc National du Bic to cross-country ski. We skied the Le Portage trail for several kilometers and then took the trail to the Pointe Aux Epinettes, then retraced our path back to the car. Skiing on fresh snow with mild temperatures (about 24 F) made for a nice morning.
